Premier John Horgan has said that record-breaking amounts of logging are now taking place in old-growth areas. Old-Growth Deferral BC is a government program that will now defer logging in old-growth areas until a later date or not log them at all. Abi said that old-growth forests are now covering 2.1 million hectares, which is more than the 1.7 million hectares reported in the spring season. Young\’s introduction was made by actress Daryl Hannah, who said that the cold season is making her brain a little foggy.
