Toronto and Vancouver were the two worst cities in the country, with 199 and 197 hours stuck in traffic respectively. The report also found that London, Bengaluru and Dublin were the three worst cities globally with 325, 260 and 277 hours respectively. Other Canadian cities included in the report had varying levels of traffic and environmental impacts. A transportation researcher said the data shows a need to improve how people move around their communities. Solutions such as improving public transportation, allowing people to work from home more often, and building public transit are all potential solutions. The report also shows the benefit of not driving, such as reducing emissions and saving money.     Saskatchewan Rush will be sporting a Pride jersey in support of the LGBTQ community at a matchup with the Vancouver Warriors at Saskatoon\’s SaskTel Centre Saturday. Drag artist Karma K, who is transgender, will be performing the halftime show. The organization started being more vocal about Pride after a junior hockey player came out in 2021. There have been ongoing protests outside the Shaw Centre after a social media post indicating a trans woman tried to use a women\’s changeroom at the centre was widely circulated online. Counter-protests have also been held at the centre in response. The game isn\’t the first time trans rights have been a hot topic in Saskatoon. Regina resident Cat Haines, executive director of the transgender advocacy organization JusticeTrans, said there\’s been a troubling escalation in the language being used by those opposing trans rights. Saskatchewan Rush aims to create a message of inclusion and equality and open its doors to fans to come in and feel they too can get on the field or pick up the ball and be a part of the team. Trans allies need to check in on their trans friends right now as public vitriol against trans individuals has been escalating. Saturday\’s game will be a celebration of trans rights and a showcase of talent.
