Saskatoon has seen remarkable job growth in the past year, with 84 per cent of all employment growth in Saskatchewan coming from the city. 16,700 more people were employed in 2022 than in 2021, and 59,000 more than in 2006. This growth was seen mostly in the services sector, with the majority of the growth in the construction industry and the wholesale and retail industry. The city is well-positioned for the future, with diverse economic fundamentals and good job opportunities for those living in Saskatoon.
