Chandika Hathurusingha has returned to Bangladesh as the cricket coach after his first stint at the helm. Despite having a tempestuous relationship with top players in the past, he said he does not intend to shake up the team and that the veteran players have been performing well. Hathurusingha, who has coached both the Sri Lanka national team and New South Wales, replaces Russell Domingo and has been contracted for two years. His appointment will begin with a tour by England, who arrive on Friday for three ODIs and three T20 matches next month. Hathurusingha believes the team needs to lift its game in Test cricket and T20, as they know how to play ODI cricket well. He hopes to find the right game plan to help Bangladesh do well in all formats.
