    Artifact is a news app created by Instagram’s co-founders, Kevin Systrom and Mike Krieger. It is available for both iOS and Android, and is free to download. The app has a home tab with a feed of articles it thinks the user will like, and a “Headlines” tab with collections of articles sorted by topics. A new feature visualizes the user’s reading history after they have read 10 articles. There is also a “thumbs-down” button to see fewer articles like the one disliked. Additionally, users can sync their contacts with the app to see what articles are popular within their network. Artifact is an interesting news app, and worth checking out if you’re looking for a new way to consume news.
