The police in Islamabad are under scrutiny for their raid on PTI chief Gohar Ali Khan’s house. The police chief suspended four officials for failing to intercept media at the Supreme Court. The IGP was summoned to the court in connection with the raid. The police couldn’t justify the raid and did not register a case against anyone. There was confusion over the address of the house. The officials said the police failed to update their records. The raid was conducted without proper permission and the SP City is leading the investigation. The police spokesperson said the suspension was for “some uniform issue”. The raid and its aftermath remain controversial. The police have to examine their stations and records to prevent such confusion in the future. The IGP, DIG Operations, and Zonal SPs are responsible for updating information. The police are still investigating the situation.
