Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) withdrew its petition from the Supreme Court seeking a fair election. PTI’s lawyer told the court that they will go to the people’s court instead. Last year, PTI filed an application to get a fair election amid reports of problems with nomination papers. The petition requested the court to ensure a fair election and to stop the government from harassing PTI’s workers. The petition was filed after a complaint about nomination papers being snatched. The court asked the Election Commission of Pakistan to ensure a fair election for all political parties, including PTI.
