Pakistan’s Babar Azam and Fakhar Zaman scored half-centuries but Pakistan was dismissed for 173 in response to New Zealand’s 194-8. New Zealand’s captain Kane Williamson got hurt and may not play in the rest of the series. New Zealand’s attack took wickets at regular intervals and limited Pakistan’s chase. Finn Allen scored 74 runs for New Zealand before Williamson got hurt. Pakistan’s Haris Rauf took 3 wickets. New Zealand made one change, replacing a seamer with a spinner. Pakistan didn’t change their team.
