Islamabad police suspended five officers, including the station house officer of Margalla, after a raid at the residence of PTI leader Barrister Gohar Ali Khan. The raid took place while Barrister Gohar was at the Supreme Court. He informed the court about the incident, and his son and nephew were allegedly tortured by the police. Initially, the police denied the raid, but later admitted to it after a video went viral. They claimed they were looking for proclaimed offenders, but returned when they realized it was Gohar’s house. The police chief assured an investigation and suspended the officers involved. An inquiry officer was appointed to conduct a fact-finding inquiry. Strict action will be taken against any officials found guilty of violating the law. The police stated that the raid was conducted on the tip of an informer and promised to take action against any guilty officers.
