Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Qazi Faez Isa told a PTI lawyer not to make allegations against the Election Commission unless they have proof. The PTI is claiming that the Election Commission violated its directives for a fair election. The Election Commission informed the court that 76% of PTI candidates’ nomination papers had been accepted. During the hearing, the PTI lawyers argued that their candidates were not being allowed to campaign, but the Chief Justice emphasized the need for proof of such allegations. He also pointed out that the court cannot take over the functions of the Election Commission. The hearing will continue.
