The Prime Minister of Afghanistan, Mullah Hasan Akhund, met with Maulana Fazlur Rehman from Pakistan and assured him that Afghanistan does not intend to harm any country. This comes at a time when relations between Pakistan and Afghanistan have strained due to terrorist attacks and the deportation of Afghan refugees from Pakistan. Fazlur Rehman also stressed the importance of cooperation and resolving differences through dialogue. Afghanistan’s Deputy Prime Minister, Maulvi Abdul Kabir, also welcomed the delegation from Pakistan and expressed a desire for good relations based on mutual respect. He assured the delegation that Afghanistan does not intend to pose a threat to anyone and called for an end to mistreatment and forced deportation of Afghan refugees. Both sides hope to decrease misunderstandings and work towards peace and stability in the region. The meeting between the JUI-F chief and Afghan leaders addresses the need for cooperation and mutual understanding between the two countries.
