A 4.6 magnitude earthquake hit Quetta and surrounding areas, causing people to evacuate their homes and seek open spaces. The quake was felt in Quetta and nearby areas, with its epicentre in the Hindu Kush region of Afghanistan. The quake originated at a depth of 98 kilometres. Despite panic, there were no reports of human casualties or property damage in Quetta. However, some residents claimed that the quake caused cracks in some mud houses on the outskirts of the city.
