Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaarul Haq Kakar visited Kuwait and then Dubai. He was welcomed in Dubai by UAE Minister for Justice Abdullah Sultan bin Awad Al Nuaimi and Pakistani diplomatic staff. He is attending the COP28 summit on climate change and heading the Pakistani delegation. Other Pakistani officials are also participating in the summit.

The Prime Minister emphasized Pakistan’s role in global climate change, noting that Pakistan is greatly affected by climate change. He said that one-third of the country’s population is affected by climate-induced floods. In Kuwait, Kakar met with top leaders and witnessed the signing of agreements to attract multi-billion-dollar investments from Kuwait in various sectors of Pakistan. He expressed satisfaction with the strengthening relations between the two countries and called the agreements with Kuwait a milestone in the achievements brought to the country by the Special Investment Facilitation Council (SIFC) platform.

Mr. Kakar ended his visit to Kuwait by praying for the good health of the Emir of Kuwait, Sheikh Nawaf Al Ahmad Al Jaber Al Sabah.
