Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani said that Pakistan is willing to airlift injured Palestinians after the Israel-Hamas truce began. He mentioned that Pakistan is also offering to treat the injured Palestinians and has been in contact with Jordan and Egypt. However, due to the situation in Gaza, it is not possible to establish a health facility there. Jilani highlighted Pakistan’s contributions to the cause, including co-sponsoring an OIC session with Saudi Arabia and playing a role in the passage of a United Nations resolution calling for a humanitarian truce.

The ceasefire between Israel and Hamas involves a comprehensive ceasefire in north and south Gaza, as well as the release of Israeli hostages taken by Hamas during an attack in October. This is the first break in the war that has devastated Gaza.

Overall, Jilani emphasized Pakistan’s role in diplomatic efforts to address the situation in Gaza and its willingness to support and aid the injured Palestinians.
