Business leaders from Korea and the United Kingdom met in London to discuss cooperation in energy, defense, and supply chains. The event took place during President Yoon Suk Yeol’s state visit to the UK. Yoon emphasized the need for trade and investment improvement, and 200 business leaders attended. Signed contracts between Korean and British companies totaled 270 billion won. The Memoranda of Understanding (MOUs) and contracts focused on areas such as energy, construction, defense, finance, and biotechnology. FKI chief Ryu called for cooperation in global supply chains, climate change, and the culture sector. The governments also signed six MOUs, including a revision of the free trade deal. The aim is to strengthen economic security and supply chain network. Additionally, the agreement involves cooperation in semiconductors, clean energy, nuclear, offshore wind energy, and defense industries.
