The Islamabad High Court postponed Nawaz Sharif’s appeal hearing about his conviction in the Avenfield and Al-Azizia references until November 27. Nawaz was sentenced to prison in 2018. He was declared a proclaimed offender after going to London for medical treatment in 2019. He recently returned to Pakistan and requested to revive his appeals. The court had dismissed his appeals in 2021 due to his prolonged stay in London. The court also ordered him to record his statement in the Toshakhana case. The hearing will resume next week.
