Faiz Ahmed Faiz was a famous poet and author in Pakistan. He was born in 1911 and his work is very important in Pakistan’s literature, arts, and poetry. He was a Marxist and believed in socialism. Faiz was the editor of two major newspapers in Pakistan and also worked for the president. He was married to a British woman and had two daughters.

His work has been featured on Coke Studio Pakistan. The Faiz Foundation Pakistan holds a festival every year in Lahore to celebrate his work. Faiz received many awards, including the Lenin Peace Prize and the Lotus Prize for Literature. He was also nominated for the Nobel Prize.

Faiz’s poetry has been translated into many languages, and he was awarded the Nishan-e-Imtiaz after his death. He passed away in 1984 and his poetry is still very influential today.
