President Arif Alvi spoke at the convocation of Riphah International University in Islamabad. He stressed the importance of human resource development and research for the country’s development. He encouraged the use of information technology for knowledge acquisition and emphasized the significance of online education. The president also urged the Higher Education Commission to promote an online education policy. He urged students to use modern resources to serve the country and expressed concern about the 28 million out-of-school children in Pakistan.
