A large number of workers from Tehreek-i-Labbaik Pakistan (TLP) held a march called the ‘Storm Al-Aqsa Million March’ in Islamabad. The march started from Faizabad and ended at D-Chowk, passing through Jinnah Avenue. The marchers carried flags of Palestine and held placards and banners with slogans against Israel. TLP leader Hafiz Saad Hussain Rizvi addressed the workers, expressing solidarity with the people of Palestine and calling on Muslim rulers to unite and protect them from Israel’s brutality. He criticized the West for its dual standards, as it had condemned Russia’s attack on Ukraine. Before the march, TLP workers gathered at Faizabad and then proceeded to Islamabad. The district administration gave permission for the march and public meeting at D-Chowk, but the Red Zone of the city was sealed off, and 3,000 police officials were deployed to prevent the marchers from accessing Constitution Avenue or the Diplomatic Enclave.
