The process for issuing red warrants has begun for PTI leader Zulfi Bukhari, while an Anti-Terrorism Court in Islamabad has issued perpetual arrest warrants for more than a dozen other PTI leaders. The warrants are related to a case of violence outside the Federal Judicial Complex in March of this year. The Ministry of Interior has approved the issuance of a red notice against Zulfi Bukhari, and the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) has been asked to scrutinize the case documents before filing the application for the red notice with Interpol. The FIA has also been instructed to consult relevant departments and address any deficiencies in the case. A request is being made to Interpol for red notices against Zulfi Bukhari to allow for his arrest. Zulfi Bukhari, a former SAPM to ex-Prime Minister Imran Khan, left the country and is living abroad since the case was registered against him. In the same case, the ATC of Islamabad has issued perpetual arrest warrants for PTI leaders who were involved in the violence outside the FJC during Imran Khan’s appearance in the Toshakhana case. The incident resulted in injuries, vehicle damage, and clashes between the police and PTI supporters. The court has declared these PTI leaders proclaimed offenders and has instructed the police to arrest them whenever and wherever they are found.
