Interim Interior Minister Sarfraz Ahmed Bugti has accused India’s foreign intelligence agency, the Research and Analysis Wing (RAW), of being involved in recent terrorist attacks in Balochistan. Bugti stated that all major incidents in Balochistan have been linked to RAW, but provided no evidence to support his claims. His remarks come after a suicide blast targeting a procession in Mastung left 55 people dead. No group has claimed responsibility for the attack, but the Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) denied involvement. Bugti pledged to pursue terrorists and vowed that the policy of appeasement would no longer be pursued. The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) has registered a case for the Mastung attack but no arrests have been made. Meanwhile, the national flag was lowered to half-mast on government buildings in Balochistan. The Balochistan caretaker Information Minister expressed sorrow over the incident and affirmed the government’s determination to combat terrorism and ensure citizens’ safety. Pakistan has seen an increase in terrorist activities, particularly in KP and Balochistan, following the TTP’s ceasefire termination.
