Pakistan Railways has suspended four officials due to their alleged negligence that caused an accident involving the Mianwali Express train. A committee, led by Deputy Principal Officers, will submit a report within 24 hours. The Chairman of Pakistan Railways, Mazhar Ali Shah, has stated that appropriate action will be taken according to the law against those responsible. The accident occurred when the Mianwali Express collided with a parked freight train near Sheikhupura. Fortunately, no loss of life was reported. This incident follows another train derailment near the Sarhari Railway Station in Nawabshah, which resulted in 30 deaths and numerous injuries. Similarly, the Allama Iqbal Express, traveling from Karachi to Sialkot, experienced the derailment of three coaches a day prior to the Nawabshah accident, although no injuries occurred in that incident.
