North Korean leader Kim Jong-un visited Russia’s far eastern city of Vladivostok and inspected Russia’s nuclear-capable bombers, missiles, and warship. This comes after his summit with Russian President Vladimir Putin. Kim was greeted by Russia’s Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu and looked at strategic bombers and hypersonic missiles. He also inspected a frigate of Russia’s Pacific Fleet. On a separate visit to a Russian aircraft plant, Kim expressed admiration for Russia’s aerospace and aviation technology. He praised the plant for its contribution to the development of the country’s air industry. Kim was accompanied by top North Korean party and military officials during his visits. These visits have raised concerns about possible military cooperation between North Korea and Russia.
