Pakistan and Iran have agreed to install additional gates at the Mir Javeh-Taftan crossing point to improve cross-border trade and the movement of visitors. The Iranian Ambassador to Pakistan, D. Reza Amiri Moghaddam, met with Chairman Federal Board of Revenue, Malik Amjed Zubair Tiwana, to discuss customs issues, border management, and trade flow between the two countries. They also discussed the possibility of adding more gates at the crossing point to facilitate trade and the movement of pilgrims. The Iranian Ambassador suggested that making the Rimdan-Gabd crossing point operational could further enhance bilateral trade. Both sides agreed to enhance trade and communication between the two countries, and the Chairman of the Federal Board of Revenue assured full cooperation to resolve customs-related issues. A meeting will be held by the end of this month to address all border-related concerns.
