Oil & Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has announced a significant increase in oil and gas production from its Nashpa Well-10, located in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The company implemented a production enhancement strategy and rigless intervention, resulting in an additional output of 900 barrels per day (bpd) of oil. The well’s cumulative production now stands at 1340 bpd. Gas from the well is also being injected into the Sui Northern Gas Pipeline Limited (SNGPL) network. Nashpa D&PL is operated as a joint venture with OGDCL having a majority stake of 56.45%, alongside Pakistan Petroleum Limited (28.55% share) and Government Holding Private Limited (15% share). The well has been in production since December 2020. In addition, OGDCL has recently started production at the Nashpa-11 well, which has been successfully tested, completed, and connected to the OGDCL Nashpa plant. The company continues to optimize production in its efforts to contribute to the country’s energy needs.
