The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has called in Shahnawaz Dahani and Zaman Khan to join the team for the Asia Cup. This comes after pacers Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah got minor injuries during the match against India. In the game, India’s Virat Kohli and KL Rahul both scored centuries to lead their team to a 228-run victory over Pakistan. India reached a total of 356-2 while Pakistan could only manage 128-8. Pakistan’s injured bowlers, Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah, did not bat. India’s Kuldeep Yadav was the top performer with figures of 5-25. Coach Bradburn mentioned that this defeat was a wake-up call for the team before the upcoming World Cup. According to a press release, Dahani and Zaman have been called up as replacements for Haris Rauf and Naseem Shah who are being monitored by the medical panel of the team. The PCB will only request replacements from the ACC technical committee if Naseem or Haris are unable to play for the next seven days.
