36 activists of the Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) have been arrested by the police in Rawalpindi and detained in Adiala Jail. This comes after they were granted bail by the Lahore High Court. The PTI workers were initially detained in connection with the attack on the army’s General Headquarters on May 9. They had obtained bail for that case, but the police arrested them regarding another case related to the same incident. In total, 230 suspects have been detained by the police in relation to the GHQ attack. Additionally, around 150 unknown suspects have been named in the Hamza Camp attack and another 100 in the Museum attack case. In Rawalpindi, 15 FIRs (First Information Reports) have been registered concerning the May 9 attacks, under the anti-terrorism law and other applicable charges.
