The Noorani Foundation – Akhuwat School in Faisalabad, Pakistan, is a non-profit organization that aims to provide education to marginalized communities. Recently, their 9th-grade students achieved excellent results in the Board exams. Outperforming well-established private schools in the area, all 48 students who appeared for the exams passed, with 42 students scoring grade A+ and 6 students scoring grade A.
This academic success validates The Noorani Foundation’s innovative approach of establishing low-cost boarding schools. Founded in 2019, the organization aims to bridge the education gap in Pakistan and transform students’ lives through education and mentorship provided at boarding schools.
The Founder of The Noorani Foundation, Tasneem Noorani, expressed immense pride in the students’ achievements. The Foundation believes in the power of education to empower individuals and uplift communities, aiming to break the cycle of poverty and inequality. The Noorani Foundation provides almost 100% scholarships to students, covering their room and board expenses.
Inspired by the philosophy of interest-free microfinance by the Akhuwat Foundation, The Noorani Foundation follows principles of equity, compassion, and education. The Foundation’s success in the board exams exemplifies the effectiveness of their approach.
Furthermore, The Noorani Foundation is expanding and currently constructing a new branch of the school in Swabi, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The recent academic achievements highlight the potential of every child when nurtured and given equal opportunities.
