Former General Secretary of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), Asad Umar, was arrested from his home in Islamabad. He was detained in connection with the cipher case. The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) took Umar into custody in the F-8 area of Islamabad. This is the second time he has been arrested in the past three months. The first arrest was related to a case involving violence on May 9, and now he is arrested in connection with the cipher case. In other news, PTI Vice Chairman Shah Mahmood Qureshi was arrested a day earlier in Islamabad on similar charges. Stay tuned for more updates.
