Pakistan’s cricket team is planning to adopt a more aggressive approach in One-day International cricket leading up to the Asia Cup and the World Cup. They want to play like they did in the recent Test matches against Sri Lanka, where they scored at a fast pace. The team is currently in a training camp for the upcoming series against Afghanistan. The players are focused on improving their performance in the middle overs of the game as it is a crucial phase. They are also practicing to score big totals as most teams nowadays aim to score above 300 runs. In the Asia Cup and World Cup, Pakistan will play against India at least twice. The match between the two rivals is highly anticipated, but the players are treating it like any other game. Before these tournaments, the ongoing series against Afghanistan is important as a 3-0 victory will take Pakistan to the top of the ICC ODI rankings. However, they are aware of the challenge posed by Afghanistan’s spin bowlers and have been preparing accordingly.
