The federal government has announced a compensation package of Rs2 million for each family of the victims of the recent Bajaur suicide attack. This was announced by Finance Minister Ishaq Dar in the Senate. The seriously injured will receive Rs700,000, while those with minor injuries will receive Rs500,000.

The government has also established an Autism Centre in the premises of the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS).
