The Oil and Gas Development Company Limited (OGDCL) has reported a significant increase in oil and gas production from four of its wells in Sindh. OGDCL shared the details of the production enhancement in July, attributing it to the use of advanced technologies for production optimization. One of the wells, Nim East-1, resulted in additional production of 585 barrels per day (BPD) of oil, 7.4 million standard cubic feet per day (MMSCFD) of gas, and 32 metric tons per day (MTD) of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The gas from this well is being injected into the Sui Southern Gas Company Limited network. Another well, Pasakhi-11, saw an increment of 1010 BPD of oil in production after the installation of an Electrical Submersible Pump (ESP). The well is currently producing 1,810 BPD of oil. Similarly, the Chak 2-1 and Chak-V Dim South-3 wells also witnessed increased production of oil, gas, and LPG. The gas from these wells is also being injected into the Sui Southern Gas Company Limited network. OGDCL stated that all wells remained under observation during the production enhancement process.
