Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif criticized Imran Khan for his mistakes and incompetence while in power. He mentioned that the country suffered because of the inefficiency and mismanagement of the PTI government. The Prime Minister launched several development projects, including a Medical City, a National Health Support Programme, and a Population Welfare Programme. He also inaugurated a thermal power plant and broke ground for the Lahore Ring Road project and the Metro Bus extension project. The Prime Minister blamed Imran Niazi for neglecting the completion of the Haveli Bahadur Shah power plant, which resulted in extra costs for the country. He questioned why the judiciary did not hold anyone accountable for this negligence. The Prime Minister emphasized the importance of transparent accountability and mentioned that other nations have moved forward with such accountabilities. He expressed his determination to revive the country’s economy by eliminating poverty and unemployment. The Prime Minister regretted that Imran Khan’s sit-ins in 2014 had postponed President Xi’s visit to Pakistan. He also highlighted the progress made in the China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects. The Prime Minister stressed the importance of working hard for the country’s progress and leaving behind the blots of the past.
