The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) announced on Saturday that security forces have killed three terrorists in Khyber and South Waziristan District. The ISPR explained that an exchange of fire took place between security personnel and terrorists in the Bagh area of Khyber district on July 27. During the engagement, one terrorist sniper was killed, and weapons and ammunition were recovered. Additionally, on July 28, a fierce encounter occurred between troops and terrorists in the Gomal Zam area of South Waziristan District, resulting in the death of two terrorists. These individuals were actively involved in terrorist activities against security forces and the killing of innocent citizens. The press release stated that the area is being sanitized to remove any other terrorists. The local residents have shown their support for the operation and their commitment to eliminating the menace of terrorism. Pakistan has experienced an increase in terrorist activities, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Balochistan, since the Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan terminated its ceasefire with the government in November of last year.
