A fire broke out in a house in the Bhatti Gate area of Lahore, causing the deaths of ten people. The Station House Officer (SHO) Mohammad Sajjad confirmed the death toll. The fire was reported to the rescue service, Rescue 1122, at 2:32am. They sent 33 rescuers and 11 vehicles to the scene. The fire started on the second floor of the house, which was in a crowded area. The bodies of the victims were taken to Mayo Hospital. Among the deceased were five teenagers, a four-year-old, and a seven-month-old. The fire has been brought under control, and the cooling process is ongoing. Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif expressed his sadness and offered prayers for the departed souls.
