At the age of 17, Khan was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes. He experienced a significant weight loss and felt constantly exhausted, leading to a decline in his interest in sports. Despite the challenges posed by his illness, Khan acknowledged that there are greater pains and diseases in the world. He considers himself fortunate and believes in finding the silver linings in life. He advises his younger self to always follow his gut instinct.

Khan emphasized the importance of willpower and creating opportunities for oneself. He believes that adversity breeds creativity, innovation, and ultimately, success. He encourages appreciating the ups in life by experiencing the downs. Overall, Khan is grateful for his journey and feels that he has done well for himself.
