The Pakistan Cricket Board has proposed a “hybrid model,” allowing India to play their matches in the UAE. However, India wants the entire tournament moved out of Pakistan, which could lead to serious consequences for the World Cup in India and the 2025 Champions Trophy in Pakistan. Bangladesh and Sri Lanka have also opposed playing in the UAE. Sethi said Pakistan may boycott the World Cup if the Asian Cricket Council decides to move the entire tournament from Pakistan. Meanwhile, Pakistan wants reciprocal terms for their team at the World Cup, and Sethi said that the International Cricket Council should step in.
