Google has launched its AI-based chatbot, Bard, in Korean and Japanese to expand its reach and compete with Microsoft’s ChatGPT. Google CEO Sundar Pichai said the two languages were chosen as they are at the forefront of cutting-edge technology in the “incredibly dynamic and exciting regions”. Bard has been expanded to the general public in 180 countries, after opening in the US and UK in March. The service is one of the first of its kind that can conduct conversations that mimic human-like interactions.
