The hunt begins: An ominous AI-powered monocle sets its sights on injecting life into banal human conversations.

A 22-year-old computer science student at Stanford University has designed an augmented reality eyepiece called RizzGPT that uses artificial intelligence (AI) to enhance users’ charisma and improve their skill at conversing with others. The eyepiece features a camera, a microphone and an internal projector screen that displays incoming messages. When users speak with someone, RizzGPT monitors the conversation through the microphone, transmits it to OpenAI’s chatbot ChatGPT via Wi-Fi and generates a response that appears on the small screen. The delay and response clarity are currently limited, but RizzGPT is a prototype intended to demonstrate the potential of the technology. The goal is to act as an assistive aid to help people who suffer from social anxiety and who have difficulties talking to others. RizzGPT is not meant to replace human interaction.
