The Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM) is holding a meeting to decide what to do after the Supreme Court ordered the release of Imran Khan, the head of the PTI party. The meeting was called by the head of the PDM coalition, Maulana Fazlur Rehman. In a press conference, he criticised the Supreme Court for providing Mr Khan with “VIP treatment and protocol” and claimed that he had been constantly given relief by the judiciary. Maulana Fazlur Rehman also said that negotiations cannot be held with Mr Khan as he has nothing to offer. He condemned the PTI’s response to protests and riots, claiming that the PDM had held anti-government protests without resorting to violence or damage. The meeting will determine the PDM’s next course of action.
