Immigration officers launch a surprise raid on a suspected haven of illegal immigrants at Abdullah Hukum.

A total of 91 undocumented foreigners were arrested in a surprise raid conducted by the Malaysian Immigration Department in an apartment complex near Jalan Kampung Abdullah Hukum, Bangsar. 100 units were checked during the operation, which was conducted due to complaints from local residents. As a result, 254 undocumented foreigners were inspected, and 91 were detained, including 28 women aged from 20 to 55. Most of the undocumented immigrants were working in cleaning or construction jobs around the Bangsar area. The three-bedroom units in the complex had been extensively renovated and were able to accommodate up to 10 people. The case is being investigated under Section 15(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63 and Section 6(1)(c) of the same act.
