Former Pakistani Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has been presented at the Police Lines Guest House in Islamabad’s H-11, a day after his arrest for alleged corruption. The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) has requested a 14-day physical remand of the PTI chairman. Meanwhile, supporters across Pakistan have been asked to gather for peaceful protests as online services have suffered significant disruption, while the British Council has cancelled all Cambridge examinations scheduled for Wednesday in the country. The US and UK have called for the “rule of law” to be maintained in Pakistan. Three other political leaders have also been detained following Khan’s arrest.
