Czech model Eva Herzigová is now a MetaHuman, which means that there is a digital avatar of herself that can be re-dressed, posed, and animated using motion capture or traditional animation. Her digital likeness was created by scanning her with a 70-camera rig and a motion capture shoot. Her digital avatar can be used for virtual fashion shows and modeling digital clothes. Epic Games introduced MetaHumans in 2021 to make it easier to create realistic digital humans, and the technology has evolved to the point where it is possible to capture realistic facial animations right from an iPhone. Luka Dončić, NBA superstar, introduced a MetaHuman version of himself in September 2022.
