A judicial magistrate in Islamabad has ordered PTI leader Ali Amin Gandapur to be held in custody for a day on charges of threatening the government and national institutions. Gandapur was arrested by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police on Thursday and is accused of using derogatory language against officials of the coalition government. PTI Chairman Imran Khan has criticized the arrest, saying that the “law of the jungle” prevails in Pakistan and accusing the PDM and its handlers of targeting PTI workers and leadership.
