Hackers have leaked 16,000 documents from the Tasmanian education department on the dark web. The data includes names and addresses of school students and their parents. The information was accessed through a third-party file transfer service called GoAnywhere MFT. The Tasmanian government has set up a helpline for people who are worried their data has been compromised. The hackers have not made any ransom demands, and the government has been advised not to pay a ransom if it is offered.
