The 2022 Webby Awards has unveiled its nominees, with nearly 14,000 entries from 70 countries. Nominees include BTS fans for their #MyBTStory YouTube uploads, Harry Styles for his AirPods advert, Trevor Noah for his between-the-scenes segments on The Daily Show and Lizzo for her show Lizzo’s Watch Out For the Big Grrrls. Other hopefuls include the cast of Ted Lasso, Doja Cat’s social video for Taco Bell’s Mexican Pizza and a VR concert by Megan Thee Stallion. Several companies earned nominations, with Apple leading with 22, followed by MTV with 15 and National Geographic, Netflix, and Audible all on 14. Winners will be announced on 25 April. Drummer Questlove, Girls Who Code founder Reshma Saujani, comedian Samantha Bee, and artist Takashi Murakami are among the award’s nominees.
