Tiger Woods has said he feels stronger than last year as he returns to the Masters. Woods played the tournament last year after 14 months of recuperation from serious leg injuries sustained in 2021. He finished 47th at Augusta National, but this year he says his fitness and strength have improved dramatically. He recently achieved his lowest round score of 67 at the PGA Genesis Invitational, but said that walking is a greater test than shotmaking. Woods, who has been forced to play less because of bodily injuries, added that he matches his playing schedule to his “body”, which he said can no longer take the strain of regular competitive games. However, he and Rory McIlroy are set to work together in creating an arena-golf hybrid venue, equipped with video technology and a short-game area, set to launch next January.
