Mild earthquake jolts Islamabad, parts of Punjab

A 4.8 magnitude earthquake was felt in Islamabad, Faisalabad and several other cities in Punjab on Thursday evening, with tremors also felt in other cities in the province, including Bhalwal, Sargodha, Pind Dadan Khan and Shahpur. The Pakistan Meteorological Department has not yet issued any details regarding the quake. However, according to Google’s earthquake alert, the quake was reported in the Hindu Kush region at a depth of 160 kilometers. Further updates are expected.

Islamabad and parts of Punjab felt a mild earthquake.
