Imran Khan gets protective bail in 2 terrorism cases – Times of India

Former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan has been granted protective bail until 27 March by the Lahore High Court (LHC) in connection with terrorism cases registered against him. Khan was appearing before the court for the nationwide controversy surrounding the Toshakhana case, in which he was disqualified by the Election Commission of Pakistan in October last year for failing to reveal the details of his property sales. Khan requested the government ensure no chaos is created during his court appearances. Around 100 cases have been registered against the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief in the past 11 months, but on this occasion he did not bring party workers to the LHC during his appearance. Over 500 PTI workers have been arrested by the Punjab and Islamabad police from different parts of the province. Khan also appeared before LHC’s Justice Tariq Saleem Sheikh in a petition to seek information on all the cases registered against him in the Punjab province.
