India to spy its ‘borders’ with Israeli drones

India to spy its ‘borders’ with Israeli drones

NEW DELHI – The Northern Command of the Indian Army has recently purchased 49 miniature unmanned aerial vehicles to patrol its ‘border region’ with Pakistan and China, a foreign media reported on Sunday.

The report said that the Indian Army would deploy these Israeli drones to carry out ‘reconnaissance mission’ over its ‘border areas’ after soldiers of the People's Liberation Army of China set up camp in Ladakh, part of disputed state of Jammu Kashmir, on the night of April 15.

The Chinese Army soldiers were located 10 kilometres inside the Line of Actual Control, a de-facto border that runs across the Himalayas between China and areas of the Indian-held Jammu Kashmir. An ‘official border’ between China and India was never drawn following a 1962 war.

“The drones are the true ‘game changers’ in India's ‘territorial dispute’ with China,” the military-run Indian Defence News reported. A 72,000-strong Mountain Strike Corp has been established in the region under the permission of the (Indian) cabinet’s Committee on Security to prevent a ‘potential attack’ from China, the paper reported.

The military-run paper also reported that a C-130J cargo plane of the Indian Air Force had landed at the Daulat Beg Oldi – the world's highest airstrip – in Ladakh. Israel’s Homeland Security said that India's 49 drones based in Leh (Ladakh) sector would be unarmed and used mainly for ‘surveillance’ purposes to keep an eye on China and check infiltration.

India does not yet have any real experience of operating miniature unmanned aerial vehicle, although it currently operates two types of regular drones, the Searcher-II and Heron, both of which were purchased from Israel, the paper reported.

India purchases 49 drones from Israel to spy Pakistani and Chinese borders

NEW DELHI: The Northern Command of the Indian Army has recently purchased 49 miniature unmanned aerial vehicles to patrol its border region with China and Pakistan.

The Indian Army will deploy the drones to carry out reconnaissance mission over its disputed border areas after 50 soldiers from China’s People’s Liberation Army were found setting up camp in the remote region of eastern Ladakh, which is also claimed by India, on the night of Apr. 15. The PLA soldiers were located 10 kilometers inside the Line of Actual Control, a de facto border that runs across the Himalayas between China and India. An official border between the two countries was never drawn following a border conflict in 1962.

The drones are the true “game changers” in India’s territorial dispute with China, the paper said, adding that a 72,000-strong Mountain Strike Corp has been established in the region to prevent a potential Chinese attack under the permission of the Indian cabinet committee on security. In a demonstration of India’s strength, the military-run Indian Defense News also reported that a C-130J cargo plane of the Indian Air Force had landed at Daulat Beg Oldi — the world’s highest airstrip — in the Ladakh region.

The Israel Homeland Security stated that India’s 49 drones based in the Leh-Ladakh sector will be unarmed and used mainly for surveillance purposes to keep an eye on Chinese activities and check terrorist infiltration from across Pakistan’s Kashmir province bordering India.

India does not yet have any real experience of operating miniature unmanned aerial vehicle, although it currently operates two types of regular drones, the Searcher-II and Heron, both of which were purchased from Israel

India under their new PM Modi is becoming increasingly anti-Muslim, domestically and foreign policy wise. In their last government, at least they expressed some sort of solidarity for the Palestinian people; but with their new right wing Hindu leader, Muslims within their country are getting targeted more; and India has gotten much closer to Israel. So this was expected in a way. Mossad and RAW have worked together for a long time, so this is no surprise.

In fact, Mossad tried to take out Pakistan's nuclear facility from India's Jamnagar base, but failed to do so, due to the Pakistan Air Force's swift response:

These people seem like number one customer of Israeli military industry.

They even bought 8,000 Spike Missiles from Israel which is just a copy of US Javelin Missile System. Israel only makes like 10% of technology in their weapons, most of it is just US technology they modify. There is nothing in Israel that is 100% indigenous. All their weapons are American. Merkava Tank series is based off US Abrams, Jericho Missiles are based of minutemen US ICBMS, Iron Dome is all US funded and US technology being tested in Israel, Spike is based off Javelin Missile System, 'Arrow' system is all American. Israeli munitions are all 100% American with some made in Israel based off US missiles. These cowards don't make any of their products yet they try projecting false reality that they are military powerhouse.

Exactly, there have been many question marks raised over many of the military purchases India has made in recent times, and have been discussed in the India military section.

India's foreign policy is getting messier and messier, they had a stronger foreign policy, with reliable allies like Russia and others; but now, they don't. The US is not a reliable ally for them. They just have Israel, and because of their support of Israel; they have lost respect in the Muslim world, which is a huge loss for them.

Good to see 1.2 billion superstar India yet again relying upon 4 million Israel. Keep relying on foreign weapons. Cant produce a ball bearing indigenous.

Mini drones are defensive weapons and pose no threat to Pakistan or China. Nor do they add up too much to their intelligence as they already have a spy sat and numerous listening posts near Pak and China border.

India is on spending spree and as far as defence purchases is concerned, she's the most ineffective country in the region, if not in the world. Too many diffrent weapons from all over the world, too expensive deals, poor maintenance and servicablity have made Indian forces a logistical and technical nightmare. Half the airforce is either grounded or not ready for war. Upgrades are too expensive and locally produced spares are causing too many problems.

These mini drones are the least we should be worried about.

Pakistan makes it's own surveillance drones. I don't understand why India does not make it's own
